Birth of the Page Telecaster
There is an amazing story about the Dragon Tele. In 1961, Owen bought a 59' Tele with $107 and soon gave it to Jeff Beck, who was Owen's band mate in Deltones. In 1965, Jeff took this particular Page Telecaster guitar to Yardbirds as his back selection for a Gibson LP. Jeff altered the initial white Bakelite pickguard of the 1959' Tele into a handmade black colored pickguard. In August 1966 when Jeff departed from Yardbirds, he handed this specific instrument, a relatively pricy guitar in those days, to Page. Page had taken the Dragon Telecaster from Yardbirds to Led Zeppelin as his primary instrument. The Dragon Telecaster didn't diminish from eyesight until in April 1969 he acquired the "number one" Gibson LP from Joe Walsh. In 1967, Jimmy Page completed an excellent change on to this electric guitar, painting an orange, red and green dragon on the ash body and also substituting the black pickguard into a clear acrylic pickguard using a sheet of diffraction grating film underneath. Then, the well-known Dragon Tele appeared in electric guitar history.

Page Telecaster Woods
The body is produced of ash wood, just exactly the same as the original Dragon Tele, with rosewood fretboard and maple neck. Our instruments were made tightly according to the actual drawing and information, the form and measurement and all other features are just the identical as the authentic Dragon Telecaster.
Page Telecaster Finish
As towards the finish, the initial dragon design was drawn by Jimmy Page himself, and ours were hand-painted by our specialist luthiers. When compared with Jimmy, we might not be better than master Jimmy, however we're certain the painting is a minimum of as the exact same, if not far better than, the actual guitar. In addition, we can customize the finish in accordance with your personal desire.
Page Telecaster Headstock
The headstock of the genuine Dragon telecaster is a Fender 59' telecaster headstock, however, for unidentified cause, Page wiped the original logo off, and therefore we have no logo on the headstock of our custom-made instrument.
Page Telecaster Pickguard
The initial pickguard was said to be a see-through pickguard having an aluminum foil below it to create a mirror effect. But the foil is likely to darken as time passes, thus we supply a mirror pickguard to achieve an ideal effect, and it appears much nearer to the genuine guitar.
Page Telecaster Pickups
The pickups of the authentic 1959' telecaster are Fender single-coil pickups, and we are able to offer you other different brands including Wilkinson and Fender as well as other single-coil pickups from low end to high-end solutions.
Songs ever performed with the Page Telecaster by Jimmy Page
Jimmy page employed the Dragon Tele to capture the initial album of Led Zeppelin, as well as used it in his early on 1968-1969 tour. In 1971, Jimmy page utilized it in tracking the great solo Stairway to Heaven in studio.
Should you be one of Page's admirers and interested to the instrument, our Dragon telecaster would be your finest selection, simply because our guitar may be the most identical custom built guitar tightly following the authentic details and the genuine design drawing.
