A Brife Introduction to Vivian Campbell Nightswan

Talented heavy metal guitarist Vivian Patrick Campbell(born 25 August 1962) comes from Northern Ireland. He began playing guitar at the age of 12. He first rose to prominence in 1982 as the original guitarist of the band Dio. He has played for Sweet Savage, Dio, Trinity, Whitesnake, Riverdogs, and Shadow King. 

The Nightswan was a signature model for Vivian Campbell. The Nightswan actually has an interesting background that most people haven't heard about, that really makes this instrument far from being a Kramer designed instrument. The Nightswan actually started as the "Shredder" model from Buddy Blaze guitars. During the period of 1987–1988, Campbell had Dallas-area luthier Buddy Blaze make him a custom guitar. This instrument, nicknamed the Shredder, had a Strat-shaped mahogany body with polka-dot graphics, a 24-fret neck with diagonal dot inlays on its ebony fretboard, a pointy reverse headstock, and two Seymour Duncan humbucker pickups. The bridge was a Floyd Rose. A deal was then set up between Buddy Blaze and Kramer Guitars. Kramer eventually hired Buddy as a business associate, not just as an employee, and Buddy Blaze managed the association with Vivian and other artists while working for Kramer. The Shredder was eventually renamed to the Nightswan, by Vivian's wife. Needless to say, the Nightswan is one of the most remarkable instruments Kramer ever made. Vivian signed with Kramer as an endorser, and there are a few ads showing him with this guitar. He played the original Shredder through Whitesnake's 1987-1988 world tour. 

Graphics on the Swans were offered in a variety of 5 finishes: Lightning, Polka Dot, Dark Polka Dot, Aztec and Holoflash. Features of Our Replicated Vivian Campbell Nightswan

Kramer Nightswan was produced from 1987 to 1989, and is very rare to see now. Kramer Nightswan is a really stunning rock guitar! That is one of the reason's why you see so many late 80's early 90's pro's using Nightswans. The body is composed of hand-picked Mahogany, while it also features the exact configuration of an original Kramer Nighswan. Maple neck and ebony fretboard, all woods for our replicated guitars are 100% handmade and based on the original Kramer Nightswan. We don't use CNCs and every piece is given our undivided and detailed attention. Absolutely no corners are cut during our construction process, with precise measurements to ensure accuracy and symmetry on our replica guitars. 

As for other parts, It has 24 frets. The fretboard is ebony with dot inlays. The dot inlays are in a diagonal pattern, which was very original at the time the Nightswan was introduced. The standard layout for the Nightswan's which is one volume and three-way toggle. Pickups are H/H. (Certainly, specs here is strictly keep in with the original Nightswan)

 

All the hardware is black finish.
