Brief Introduction to Paul Gilbert and PGMFRM1
Paul Brandon Gilbert (born November 6, 1966 in Illinois, U.S.) is an American musician, best known for his technical guitar work with Racer Xand Mr. Big, as well as many solo albums and numerous collaborations and guest appearances with other musicians. Gilbert has been voted number 4 on a list in GuitarOne magazine of the "Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time", as well as a spot in Guitar World's "50 Fastest Guitarists of All Time" list.Gilbert composes music in a wide variety of styles including pop, rock, metal, blues, funk and european classical music, but is perhaps best known for his versatility and speed.
Recently, Gilbert has been using "Fireman" guitars, which he designed himself. Never one to be predictable, Paul Gilbert has redesigned Iba’s Iceman guitar to its polar opposite – the Fireman. The Fireman is a completely new design and not related to previous PGM models. Fireman contour of the body of this model is basically Iceman with reversed body. This way, guitar looks even more outrageous and it is made only for the ones who are bold enough. The PGMFRM1 Paul Gilbert "Fireman" is the doppelganger answer to the famous Iceman.
Possibly the most famous collector of classic guitars has added one more to the lot, this time with another of his own designs. "The Fireman has been my vehicle for single coil pickup experiments," commented the virtuoso guitarist. "Iba did a beautiful job of building this guitar, and I have really fallen in love with the look, sound, and feel of it. At first, I called it the "Reverse Iceman, but a fan wrote to me and suggested the " Fireman," and since fire is the opposite of ice, that's what we ended up calling it."
Our Replicated PGMFRM1
No matter how many times I tell myself, there is nothing like listening to Paul Gilbert play guitar. It seems like every time I listen to his tracks everything sounds new and fresh. His song, “Silence Followed by a Deafening Roar,” is one of his favorite songs I know. In this song, he used his new PGMFRM1. However, we all know that of this Fireman only 45 were made. But we understand most of Paul Gilbert fans like me long for to see this guitar again. Thus we exert all our energies to replicate this guitar.
We bought professional drawings and meticulously studied this electric guitar, thus we can grasp every details of processing technique. Besides, they are absolutely 100% handcrafted. To be frank, the original PGMFRM1 featured Korina bodywood and 3-piece Korina/ Bubinga neck wood. This is one of the reasons why the original PGMFRM1 is so expensive, due to the wood itself is at a high cost. However, most of our customers cannot afford it. Therefore, we carefully selected the closest mahognay bodywood and 3-piece mahogany / rosewood neck wood to accomplish this guitar. Generally speaking, our replicated Paul Gilbert PGM FRM1 is similar in appearance to the original.
Hardware is no exception. Our replicated Paul Gilbert PGM FRM1 hardware featured chrome finish, which are strictly follow the original.
We dedicate ourselves to create an instrument that will delight you with exceptional tone and great playability, optimized to your personal preferences and all with the utmost quality, beauty, and rigorous attention to detail. You may rest assured that, on the technical side, this guitar will not let you down. In a word, our replicated Paul Gilbert PGM FRM1 is nearly the same as the original.
However, the pick-ups we utilised are Wilkinson pick-ups, which is not simply quality guaranteed but also affordable for most people.
